About our Research
At EHBOL, our goal is to help cancer survivors lead long and healthy lives following a cancer diagnosis and related treatment. We use innovative methods to advance behavioral science in developing, implementing, and evaluating interventions among cancer survivors from historically marginalized backgrounds. Our long-term goal is to reduce cancer-related burdens and health disparities.
Theories & Frameworks
Our research merges theories and frameworks from health behavior change and dissemination and implementation science to ask the following disparities-related research questions:
How can exercise and health behavior interventions be adapted to reach and engage historically marginalized cancer survivor populations?
What is the optimal approach to promote both exercise and other health behaviors among cancer survivors from historically marginalized backgrounds?
What are the most impactful approaches to implement exercise, physical activity, and other health behavior interventions among cancer survivors in community-based settings within Michigan and beyond?
